Wondering

Writer: Marilyn Gardner WoodsMarilyn Gardner Woods

What’s the world doing now While I wash sheets polish brass

What’s the world doing now I’m slowed down, alone Contented, anxious

What’s the world doing now Travels, togetherness Suspended in time

What’s the world doing now Will I ever dress fancy wear a bra again

What’s the world doing now Will pace rev once more Or slacken in place

What’s the world doing now Can’t stand to know Maybe I’ll peek

What’s the world doing now Was it something we did Or everything we did?

That poem is really lovely, Marilyn.  I especially love the last two lines.  Haunting.  Keep it up!❤S

Great Marilyn, especially not wearing a bra!!! Good last paragraph!❤️Colorado

When you have a few minutes, go

online and listen to today’s sermon at First United Methodist Church of San Diego by our wonderful new minister, Trudy Robinson. I think you’ll find that it resonates with your poem‼️
